Saketh Hegde wins and captures the tournament flag at the 2018 Abaco Junior Golf Championships.

Abaco Junior Golf Championships Treasure Cay Golf Club Abaco, Bahamas The 2018 Abaco Junior Golf Championships Golf Classic was February 11th at the Treasure Cay Golf Club in Abaco. The event was hosted and sponsored by the Abaco Insurance Agency, along with Bahamas First Insurance and Royal Star Assurance. The event featured four unisex divisions: 18 & Under, 13 & Under, 10 & Under, and 8 & Under. Congratulations to the overall winner, Saketh Hegde who in addition to winning his divisional trophy for the Boys 14-18 Division, captured the Tournament Flag. Each event, one flag goes to the overall low scorer in the event, one to the sponsors, and one remains with The Front 9. The event also provided gift bags for the juniors who participated. Boys 14-18 Division featured 8 players. Girls 14-18 featured 7 players. Matthew Deveaux (90), Kyndall Campbell (91), Benjamin Knowles (97), Zion Taylor (106), Christopher Knowles (111), Andrew Benjamin (118), Kai Perez (122), Jared Forbes (124), Vance Wheaton (17), Trevor Hamilton (134), Ayshah McDonald (136). 10 & Under featured 3 players. Alexander Knowles (102), Rhan Miller (102), Makaio Mackey (125). 8 & Under featured 6 players. Michael Knowles (102), Chemari Pratt (111), Daliah Hamilton- Knowles (112), Haley Hall (114), Jalene Bowleg (122), Kamaya Burnside (127). The event also featured a “Long Drive Competition.” The winners in each division were Ashley Michel, Jared Forbes, Rhan Miller, and Kamaya Burnside. The Front 9 is dedicated to ensuring that our junior golfers have a full tournament schedule and other opportunities to succeed in the first half of their golf lives.
